Due to the potential for inclement weather and icy road conditions, the COVID-19 vaccine clinics scheduled tomorrow (Thursday, Jan. 28) have been moved to Friday, Jan. 29.

Locally, these clinics, conducted by Albemarle Regional Health Services (ARHS) and its community partners, will be held as follows:

Gates County (9-11:30 am and again from 1-4 pm) at the Gates County Health Department, located at 29 Medical Center Road, Gates; and

Hertford County (9-11:30 am and again from 1-4 pm) at Roanoke-Chowan Community College (entrance on Modlin Road).

NOTE: Both clinics are open only to those in the current priority groups: healthcare workers and individuals ages 65-and-over who are receiving their first dose of the two-dose vaccine.

In an effort to provide an additional resource for vaccine clinic schedules across the region, ARHS has implemented a call center to notify the community of upcoming vaccine clinic opportunities. The call center number is 1-833-640-SHOT (7468). The call center message will be updated on Fridays with the following week’s vaccine clinic schedule.
