AHOSKIE – Teresa Parker Allen, age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, November 13, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Teresa was born on February 5, 1958 to Monnie V. Parker and Minnie Olivia Brabble Parker in Ahoskie, NC. She worked as a billing specialist for Trillium Health as long as her health permitted. Teresa was a dedicated member of Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church. Teresa was known best as the taxes and Tupperware lady. She loved her family dearly, especially hearing her grandchildren call her MiMi and Mammy. She cherished spending time with her them, either at home or traveling to do something special.  Teresa was loved by many and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Monnie V. Parker earlier this year.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of over 47 years, Dwight; her mother, Minnie Olivia Parker; three sons, Russell Dwight Allen and wife Kelly of Grimesland, Dennis Paul Allen and wife Melissa of Jefferson, GA, and David Keith Allen and wife Maria of Sims, NC; three grandsons, Kole West Allen, Parker Keith Allen, and Wilder Grey Allen; two granddaughters, Bailey Elizabeth Allen and Sawyer Lynn Allen; two brothers, Chris Parker and wife Caroline, Johnny Parker and wife Dana; two sisters, Shirley Williams and husband Roy, and Lorie Byrum and husband Chester; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, November 15, 2020 from 3-5 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC and other times at the home.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Ray Faircloth, Sr. and Rev. David K. Allen officiating.
