KELFORD – Arthur Lee Fulton was born on January 17, 1938 in Crawford, Mississippi to Robert Lee and Sybil Irene Fulton. He went to be with His Lord and Savior on November 8, 2020, from his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was the seventh out of eleven children born to Bob and Irene. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Faye (Baker); great grand-daughter Alexandria Grace; and step-grandson Eddie Jr. As well as his Dad, Mom, and brothers, Phillip, Dick, Bobby, Allen, Paul, Ed; and sister Carolyn (Proctor); six brothers-in-law and eleven sisters-in-law.

He is survived by two sons, Roy and Roger; two daughters, Wanda and Sherry; 2 sons-in-law, Tim Drewry and Eddie Spence Sr.; eight grandchildren, Chelsea, Tony, Byron, Cory, Chris, Allyson, Joshua, and Heather; six great grandchildren, Elijah, Ethan, Madlynn, Benjamin and Madisyn; his brother Joe and his wife Vicky; sisters, Dot and her husband Bill, and Bet; 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Art was a devoted family man. He constructed two houses he made into homes for his family. He loved the outdoors and created some happy memories for his family, carrying them to various parks, lakes and rivers for picnics, fishing, relaxation and fun. He served in the Army for four years. He worked at Western Electric in Maryland for a few years. He worked for Bellsouth/AT&T telephone company in Mississippi for 30 years before retiring from that company. He was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He worked at Perdue, Inc. for a few years and as an NC Department of Agriculture peanut grader before retiring permanently from the work force.

He helped his sons, being active with them in Boy Scouts. He believed in Jesus and loved to carry his children and grandchildren to church with him.

Some of his hobbies included playing the guitar, dancing, bowling, playing horseshoes or corn hole, and traveling in the United States to see his family. He also liked to make yeast rolls, homemade banana pudding and cakes with his homemade fudge icing.

He will be greatly missed and always be in our hearts. We wish to thank the doctors, nurses, EMT’S, housekeeping and all the hospice people at Community Hospice and Amedysis Hospice.

The family will have a private service at a later time.
