AHOSKIE, NC – Clarence Avalon Askew of Ahoskie, NC transitioned to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

Clarence was the son of Audrey Moss Askew and the late Clarence W. Askew, Jr. Clarence was a retired, proud Veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Hobson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Mary Audrey of Suffolk, VA; son, Dustin Leander of Pound, VA; his mother, Audrey of Ahoskie, NC; three sisters, Sherry Lorraine of Raleigh, NC, Audrey Arlee of Springdale, MD and Lisa Annette of Bowie, MD; four brothers, Charles William of Suffolk, VA, David Christopher, Josef Andria and Billy Patrick, all of Ahoskie, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Ahoskie.

Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
