ROANOKE RAPIDS – Larry Lee Broglin, age 76, passed away on July 16, 2020 at Vidant North Hospital of Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Mr. Broglin was born in Bertie County, NC, on July 17, 1943, a son of the late Johnny Claxton and Elizabeth Mary Williams Broglin. Larry worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Perdue Farms.

Besides his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Mulder Broglin; daughter, Della Broglin Lee; a brother, Johnny Broglin; and a grandson, Jonathan Broglin.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Danny Lee Broglin of Roanoke Rapids, NC; five sisters, Joyce (Mike) Tyler of Aulander, NC, Edna (Chris) Trawick of Severn, NC, Brenda (Gilbert) Jenkins of Rich Square, NC, Carol Myers of Ahoskie, NC, and Jeanette Hewitt of Aulander, NC; a brother, Ronnie Broglin of Winton, NC; two grandsons, Raymond Pittman (Jennifer Willed), Michael Lee, both of Minnesota; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Pittman, and Jessie (Brian) Sparks, both of Minnesota; and eight great grandchildren, Halie Pittman, Alex Pittman, Linkin Pittman, Brian Sparks, Raymone Thompson, Craig “Jax” Thompson, Jarvis Sparks and Brooklyn Pittman.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 5-6 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, and other times at the home.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. at the Williams/Broglin Cemetery, Colerain, NC with Rev. Robert Barmer officiating.
