AHOSKIE, NC – Lorie Ann Baker Cordrey, age 60, of Liverman Mill Road, Ahoskie, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home.

Lorie was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on February 4, 1960, a daughter of the late John Thomas Baker and Ora Lee Pridgeon Britt, stepdaughter of Robert H. Britt (Buddy). Her life consisted of working as a federal food inspector and several other miscellaneous jobs. Her family was the true love of her life. She will be missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.

Besides her parents, Lorie was preceded in death by her brothers, Luther (Lukey) Baker and Andy Baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kevin Lee Morris (Kim) of Milwaukee, NC; two daughters, Melisa Ann Morris (Jay) of the home, and Brittany Nicole Cordrey MacLaren (Richard) of Acworth, Georgia; six grandchildren, Alston Leigh Morris, Kennedy LeAnn Morris, Hayden Cordrey, Braxton Cordrey, and Ricky and Grayson MacLaren; her brother, John Phillip Baker of Chesapeake, Virginia, and two sisters, Angela Lapoint of Norfolk, Virginia, and Phyllis Baker of Orlando, Florida.

The family will receive friends at the home, 119 Liverman Mill Road, Ahoskie, NC, at any time, and due to the circumstances with COVID-19 restrictions the family will have a private memorial service at the home.
