AHOSKIE, NC – Barbara Lawter Warren, age 79, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home.

Mrs. Warren was born in Mooresville, Iredell County, NC, on September 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles Roscoe and Ruby Lowe Lawter. Barbara worked as an office manager for the NC Highway Patrol in Ahoskie, retiring after 25 plus years. She enjoyed painting, which she loved to share with family and friends, and watching her hummingbirds. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a grandson.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Raymond L. Warren; her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Russ of Statesville, NC; and her grandson, Warren Cody Beasley of Greenville, NC.

Due to the circumstances of the COVID-19, a memorial service for Barbara will be held at a later date.
