AULANDER, NC – Ruby Mae Crisp Harmon, 87, of Charlie Harmon Road, Aulander, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at her home.

She was born in Beaufort County, March 13, 1932 to the late Joseph Martin and Millie Williams Harmon and predeceased by her husband, James Milton Harmon; daughter, Sandra Vaughan; son Jimmy Ray Harmon; sisters, Dorothy Crisp Early, Mattie Crisp Cullifer, and Marie Crisp Trueblood; and brothers, James Milton “J.M,”, William Joseph “Bud”, John and Robert Henry Crisp.

Ruby was a homemaker, seamstress, and farmer. She was a member of Republican Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, trustee and member of the WMU.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Republican Baptist Church. Rev. Howard Tayloe and Rev. Buck Leary will officiate. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Harmon Jones; sons, Howard and Allen Harmon, all of Aulander; sisters, Peggy Crisp Sifrit of Sun City, AZ and Mary Sue Crisp McFarland of Metter, GA; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15 from 10-11 a.m. at Republican Baptist Church and from the home at other times.
