RICH SQUARE – Sue B. Brown, age 92, of Rich Square, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 at the Bryan Health and Rehabilitation of Scotland Neck, NC.

She was born on July 1, 1927 to Otis and Fannie Brown in Rich Square. Sue was married to Charles Edward Brown. She was a very active member of Rich Square United Methodist Church as long as her health allowed. She served as a Lay Leader and was President of the Rich Square United Methodist Women. Sue was a loving wife, mother, and sister but her most treasured role was grandmother and great-grandmother. She truly loved her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Lillian B. Lemaster and a brother, Otis Carson Brown, Jr.

Sue is survived by two daughters, Lynn B. McCoy and her husband, Paul and Jayne B. Everett and her husband Tad, both of Scotland Neck; three sisters, Ferrell  Rawls,  Margaret Browning, Ruth Boyer and her husband Jack; a brother, Wilson Barnes and his wife JoAnn; two granddaughters, Sue Anne Everett Pilgreen and Lynn Everett Hale; three grandsons, Charles Michael McCoy, Paul Carson McCoy, and Benjamin Bryan Everett, III; seven great-granddaughters, Alice Carson McCoy, Charlotte Riley McCoy, Kennedy Lynn Fipps, Emerson Jayne Fipps, Elizabeth Glenn Everett, Lila Grace Hale, and Laura Jayne Hale; five great-grandsons, Charles Austin McCoy, Garrett Paul McCoy, Graham Anderson McCoy, Benjamin Bryan Everett IV, and John Charles Hale.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Rich Square United Methodist Church with Reverend Dusty Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
