GREENVILLE – Tommy Lee White, Jr., age 31, of Ahoskie, gone way to soon, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Greenville, North Carolina.

Tommy Jr. was born on August 27, 1988 to Tommy Lee White, Sr. and Angela Hedgepeth White in Ahoskie, NC. He graduated from Ahoskie Christian School and later went to work with his father as an HVAC Technician. Tommy Jr. loved spending time with his family, especially his son, Lee. He also enjoyed fishing, going every chance he had, spending many hours on the beautiful Chowan River catching those large catfish. Tommy Jr. was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish Tommy Jr.’s memory is his parents; his son, Tommy Lee White, III; brother, Joshua Andrew White and special friend, Christina Torres; maternal grandmother, Brenda Lyles and husband Larry of Halifax; maternal grandfather, Hardy Wayne Hedgepeth of Eure; paternal grandmother, Maggie Cooke Benson of Ahoskie; along with numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Tommy Jr. was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tommy Jordan White.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC and other times at the home.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Raleigh Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
