WINTON – James Samuel Greene, Sr., 68, of South Main Street, Winton, a Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient in the Vietnam War, died Monday, January 6, 2020 in the Palliative Care Unit at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, who is handling the arrangements.
