CORAPEAKE, NC – Donald Wayne “Donnie” Langston, 80, of 600 Union Branch Road, Corapeake, and formerly of Suffolk, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019, in his home.

Mr. Langston was born in Suffolk on April 2, 1939, and was the son of the late J. Wardell and Clio Pearl Hill Langston. A retired pipefitter from Norfolk Naval Shipyard, he grew up in the fellowship of Eure Baptist Church. A veteran, he had served in the US Army.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife and lifelong friend, Bonnie Morgan Snead.

Surviving are his daughter, Lynn Langston (Jennifer Duncan), of Corapeake; two sons, Wardell Langston (Rene’) of Elizabeth City, and Wayne Langston (Ken Jakubec) of Chesapeake, VA; four grandsons, Aaron, Trevor, Grayson, and Luke; a great-grandson, Phoenix; and a special aunt, Edith Billingsley of Suffolk.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. A private burial will follow in Eure Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home immediately following the service on Saturday, and all other times at the residence.
