Information sought on rash of robberies

JACKSON – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in recent robberies that have taken place throughout the county in the past few weeks.

The robberies have occurred at Salamis Restaurant in Potecasi on Nov. 16, the Duck Thru Store in Seaboard on Nov. 17, Woodland’s Duck Thru Store on Nov. 24, the Dollar General in Woodland on Nov. 27, and the Rich Square Family Dollar on Nov. 30.

Northampton investigators are actively working these cases. It is not known at this point if of the crimes are related as far as suspects.

According to Capt. Patrick Jacobs of the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office, the owner of Duck Thru Stores has issued a cash reward of $2,500 for any information leading to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the robbery of their establishments.

The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stoppers will also be offering rewards for any information that directly leads to an arrest in these robbery cases.

All information given will remain confidential.
