AHOSKIE – Jordan Matthew Hyatt, age 24, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 12, 2019.

Jordan was born on January 10, 1995 to Benny Wayne Hyatt and Pam Rae Dunlow in Ahoskie, NC. He was a member of Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church. Jordan was a loving person that would do anything he could to help someone out no matter the time of day. He loved older people, especially his grandmother, Katie. He enjoyed life and mechanic work. Jordan was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Jordan is preceded in death by his father, Benny Wayne Hyatt, and his grandfather; James Henry Hyatt.

Left to cherish Jordan’s memory is his mother, Pam Dunlow and his step-father Ronnie of Aulander, his sister, Jennifer Hyatt of Ahoskie; his paternal grandmother, Katie W. Hyatt of Ahoskie; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Moore and step-grandfather, Mike Moore of Ahoskie; his aunt, Jennifer H. Ross and husband John of Overland Park, KS; his uncle, James H. Hyatt and wife Nelle of Franklin, VA; his precious fur baby, Kota; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC and other times at the home of Jordan’s mother, Pam.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Ray Faircloth, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Job Cemetery in Aulander, NC.
