COLERAIN – On October 4, 2019, Linda Gray Casper Northcott unexpectedly passed away at the age of 78 just 13 days after the loss of her loving husband of 55 years, Carroll Thomas Northcott.

Linda was born on June 16, 1941 to the late Foy Edward Casper and Geneva Miller Casper Swain of Colerain, where she lived her entire life.

Linda was dedicated to service to her church, her family, her friends, and her community. She was a devoted member of Colerain Baptist Church where she worked as secretary for many years, served on various committees, sang in the choir, and willingly contributed in countless ways. She had an undying spirit and energy that enabled her to embrace the role of a beloved caretaker as daughter, wife, mother and “nana.” Linda was passionate about placing the needs of others above her own and her infinite capacity to love will always be remembered.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lisa Stover and husband, Shawn of Washington, DC and Karen McCullock and husband, Mike of Hurdle Mills, NC; brother-in-law, Tim Northcott and wife, Elvie of Sacramento, CA; five grandchildren, Alexander Stover, Matthew McCullock, Andrew Stover, Emily McCullock, and Noah McCullock; two nephews, Ingmar Northcott and Sven Northcott; and one niece, Heidi Liddell.

A memorial service will be held at Colerain Baptist Church, Colerain, NC on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Saffell officiating.
