WINDSOR – Donnie Spivey, 75, of South King Street, Windsor, died Wednesday September 25, 2019 at his home. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Wayland and Effie Miller Spivey and predeceased by a sister, Helen Brown; brothers, Kenneth, Gary, Jesse and Ronnie Spivey; and a special nephew, Joey Harrison.

Donnie was a member of Green Cross Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He was very active in prison ministry and loved coaching Little League Baseball. Donnie retired as a city letter carrier with the US Postal Service and was an Army veteran of Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Conner Spivey; daughter, Donnette Spivey Barnes of Windsor; sister, Cheryl Williams of Rocky Mount; and very special nieces and nephews, Courtney Castelloe, Logan Mizell and Sarah Harrison.

A memorial service is planned at a later date.
