MURFREESBORO – Stewart Arnold Harrell, age 59, passed away on August 6, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on January 4, 1960 to George and Bessie Harrell in Hertford County. Stewart worked as an operator for International Paper until he retired. Mr. Stewart enjoyed going fishing and watching NASCAR, his favorite drivers being Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He loved his family and will be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by father, George Harrell.

Stewart is survived by his son Alex Harrell of Littleton, NC and his mother of Gates, NC; two brothers, Thomas Harrell and wife Patricia of Margarettsville, Dale Harrell and wife Sissy of Murfreesboro; three nephews, Brad Harrell of Murfreesboro, Jordan Harrell of Margarettsville and Austin Harrell of Margarettsville; two nieces, Kim Ray of Milwaukee and Melissa White of Woodland.

A graveside service was held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev. Jayson Rowe, officiating.
