Rodanthe P. Hall

AULANDER, NC – Rodanthe Perry Hall, age 86, passed away on June 25, 2019 at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.

Ms. Pete was born on August 14, 1932 to Zeddie Perry and Lucy Brown Perry in Bertie County, NC. She was a member of Connaritsa Baptist Church. Pete was born to care for others as a nurse for 59 years, diagnosing your illness right up to the end. She was a part of the first graduating class of Louise Obici Nursing School; first to teach the EMT class for Hertford and Bertie counties at Martin Community College; and served the Bertie County community during her tenure of nursing. Pete has served as Director of Nursing, worked with Home Health, worked in several Emergency Rooms, and worked at Perdue for numerous years. She truly loved her patients and her co-workers.

Pete loved life and fought till the last minute. She was fun and outgoing having many friends. She enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards. Pete was a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, Pete was preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey Perry.

Pete is survived by her two daughters, Joy Winslow, and Julie Johnson and husband Danny Joe; special granddaughter, Jenna Smith and significant other, Brian Farmer; two grandsons, Kaleb Johnson, and John Byrum; and great-grandson, Landon Parker, who was the apple of her eye, all of Aulander, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service was held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Connaritsa Baptist Church, Aulander, NC, with Pastor Greg Hurdle officiating.
