LINDENWOLD, NJ – Peter (“Pete”) F. Rogers Jr., age 77, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at his home in Lindenwold, NJ.

He was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Princeton, NJ to Peter and Olga (Zuppardi) Rogers. Peter was a graduate of Princeton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University. He married the love of his life, Linda, on July 19, 1975, in Florida. He was a passionate baseball fan and coach who truly enjoyed his career as a sports writer at the News-Herald in Ahoskie, NC and then as the public relations director of Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC.

Family and friends knew him as “Buddy” for his big heart and endearing sense of humor, and he will be forever missed in the lives of so many he touched.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda; his two children, Renee and Matthew; a sister, Marguerite Wood, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on June 5 in Kimble Funeral Home, Princeton, NJ. Burial followed in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton.
