HENDERSONVILLE, NC — Wilma “Jewell” Davis, 63, of Hendersonville, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at the Brian Center in Hendersonville.

She was born on May 28, 1955, the daughter of the late William Matthew Davis and Jeanette Glover Davis of Conway. Jewell was a graduate of Northampton County High School in Conway, and attended East Carolina University in Greenville.

Jewell is survived by a daughter, Kristina Jewell Davis of Waynesville; a sister, Vickie Barrow and her husband, Billy, of Edenton; a niece, two nephews; a great-niece; and her former partner, George Rankin.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at Conway United Methodist Church in Conway, with the Rev. Robert Hill officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jewell to Conway United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 326, Conway, NC 27820.
