Thomas A. Cale

NEWPORT, NC – Thomas Alvin Cale, age 80, formerly of Harrellsville, NC, passed away on December 11, 2018 at the Carteret Health Care of Morehead City, NC.

Mr. Cale was born on May 3, 1938 in Colerain, NC. Thomas attended Harrellsville High School and went to serve in the United States Air Force at a young age. He worked as a welder then a prison guard for Odom Prison in Jackson, NC until his retirement.

Thomas loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He had a great love of animals, especially his two cats that he leaves behind, Bella and Ollie. Thomas was a member of Christian Harbor Church and a proud Mason. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife Maura; a daughter, Debbie Andrews (Ken) of Knightdale, NC; two sons, Thomas Michael Cale (Tracy) of Newport, NC, and Gary Steven Cale (Linda) of Windsor, NC; a granddaughter, Kasi Andrews Horton (Jacob); three grandsons, Daniel Cale, Brandon Cale, and Zachary Andrews; a sister, Lena Lowe; and a brother, Charles Cale (Joyce).

A celebration of life graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Harrellsville Cemetery, Harrellsville, NC with Rev. Joe Futrell officiating.
