Harold W. Davidson

AULANDER, NC – Harold Wayne Davidson, age 73, passed away on November 28, 2018 at the Rich Square Health Care Center of Rich Square, NC.
A native of Bertie County, Mr. Davidson was born on April 18, 1945 to Jesse Willard Davidson and Audrey Mae Conner Davidson in Aulander, NC. He was an honorable veteran that served in the United States Army. Wayne worked with Electric Eyes for Golden Peanut Company for many years before retiring. He was a man with a strong Christian faith. His faith was evident to all in the way he expressed his love for his family and friends. Many years ago he was gifted by God with the ability to write a special song that bears witness to his unfailing faith in Jesus. Wayne had a passion for music his entire life and enjoyed sharing his instrumental talents with everyone.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jason Davidson, Calvin “Link” Lewis Davidson, Margaret Ann Batts, Jessie Mae Lipgens, Brenda Sue Davidson, and Violet Lee Writtenberry.
Wayne is survived by, six nieces, Sylvia Jean Powell of Aulander, NC, Linda Whitaker of Ahoskie, NC, Shyrel Ray of Winton, NC, Kathryn Lassiter of Ahoskie, NC, Pamela Batts Wilson of Ahoskie, NC, and Holley Knowles of Windsor, NC, along with numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Aulander Chapel, Aulander, NC, with Pastor Greg Hurdle, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Hall-Rogerson Cemetery, Aulander, NC.
