AHOSKIE, NC – Edith Marie Earley, age 75, passed away on November 29, 2018 at her home.

Edith was born on July 7, 1943 to Warren and Marie Baker Holloman in Ahoskie, NC. She was a member of Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church. Edith was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She had a genuine love for animals especially cats. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Dunlow, and Mildred Rawls.

Edith is survived by her son, Michael Arrington of Southern Pines, NC; daughter, Sheila Lassiter and husband David of Ahoskie; grandson, David Travis Lassiter and wife Rachel Ange Lassiter of Ashburn, VA; two great-granddaughters, Kendall and Claire Lassiter; and a sister, Anita Godwin and husband Thomas of Ahoskie, NC.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 2, 2018, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Monday, December 3, 2018, at 11:00 am at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev Paul Ange and Rev Ray Faircloth, officiating.
