EURE, NC – James Alton “Mole” Eure, Jr., 60, of 300 Taylor Mill Road, Eure, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, in his home.
Born May 28, 1958 in Ahoskie, he was a lifelong resident of Gates County. A carpenter, he was a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, and had been active in the past with the White Oak Hunt Club, the Ray’s Beach Fishing Club, and the Eure Volunteer Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Alton Eure, Sr.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley Parker Eure; and his sister, Shirley Paige Powell, both of Eure; his special friend and companion, Shelia Brewster of Gates; and his four legged canine buddies, Dixie and Luck-Luck.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 14 at 2:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Joe McKnight. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may join the family at the home of his mother, 1381 NC Hwy 137, Eure.
