DEERFIELD, IL – Ruth Whitley Nagle died October 27, 2018 at Whitehall of Deerfield, Illinois.

Ruth was born in Como, North Carolina, Hertford County, to Mildred Barrett Whitley and Linwood Whitley.

She was predeceased by her parents and only sister, Patricia Gayle Whitley Gordon and husband David C. Nagle.

Ruth and David lived most of their life in Wilmette, Illinois and raised their three children there. More recently they lived in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Ruth is survived by her children: Michael David Nagle (Linda Seiler) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Julie Ann Nagle Maranto (Anthony Maranto Jr.) of Lake Bluff, Illinois, and Amy Elizabeth Nagle of Mundelein, Illinois. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Melissa Caroline Maranto of Lake Bluff, IL, Madeline Rose Maranto (Michael Leventhal) of New York, New York, and Anthony Vincent Maranto III of Lake Bluff, Illinois; a sister-in-law, Nancy Nagle Widden (Rick) of Glendale, Arizona; a brother-in-law, Nelson Nagle (Janet) of Tempe, Arizona; and beloved relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of a service, Ruth wished memorials be made to a church or charity of your choice.
