Vidant R-CH presents community benefit grants

AHOSKIE – Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital leaders presented over $100,000 in community benefit grants to 13 agencies and organizations for the year.
Community Benefit Grants are administered by Vidant Health Foundation in partnership with local regional hospitals and their local communities. Since this program began, more than 1.2 M in grants have been awarded to local Roanoke-Chowan agencies and organizations in Hertford, Gates and Northampton counties.

Hertford County Cooperative Extension – Steps to Health/Adult Nutrition Program – Hertford County
Hertford County Office of Aging – S.P.I.C.E. for Life Program
Albemarle Regional Health Services – Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis Program
Mental Health America of Eastern North Carolina – Peer Navigation Program Hertford County
Northampton County Cooperative Extension – Diabetes Support Program
Northampton County Cooperative Extension – Adult Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program – Northampton County
Northampton County Schools – Fuel My Backpack Program
Roanoke-Chowan Community Health Center – Diabetes Self-Management/Education Program
Town of Murfreesboro – Recreation and Community Health
