AHOSKIE, NC – Marie Louise Parker Harmon, age 79, of Ahoskie, passed away on May 31, 2018 at Norfolk Sentara General Hospital of Norfolk, VA.

Mrs. Harmon was born on April 1, 1939 to Marvin and Lila Mae Casper Parker in Gates County. Louise loved her church and was a charter member of Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church. She took great pleasure in making her famous cheese biscuits for her church family on Wednesday nights with a special one for her great granddaughter, Taylor Grace. Louise enjoyed watching the Sunlight Broadcasting Network and working in her flowers as long as her health permitted. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Linwood Harmon; a sister, Myrtle Pierce; and a brother, McCoy Parker.

Left to cherish Louise’s memory is two daughters, Brenda Harmon Allen and husband Curtis of Ahoskie, and Debbie Nichols and husband Louis of Ahoskie; two sons, Linwood Harmon and fiancĂ© Nancy Conner of Aulander, and Jesse Harmon and wife Tammy of Elizabeth City; seven grandchildren; Pam Faircloth and husband Ray, Jr., Tonya Thompson and husband Neil, Jessica Housley, Amy Castello and husband Matt, Melissa Wommack and husband Kenny, Candace Outland and husband Jonathan, and Kendall Harmon and fiancĂ© Brittany; seventeen great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Coats of Ahoskie, Lillie Hollowell of Tyner, and Frances Brabble and husband Ray of Roanoke Rapids; one brother, Monnie Parker and wife Libby of Ahoskie; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ahoskie, NC and other times at the home of her daughter, Debbie Nichols.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Higher Ground Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ahoskie, NC, with the Rev, Raymond Faircloth, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Jones Family Cemetery, Harrellsville, NC.
