TARBORO, NC – Grady Jeffery Leary 61, of 368 Cotton Lane, Tarboro, died May 21, 2018 at his home.

Grady was born on May 28, 1956 in Bertie County to the late Grady Colon Leary and Louise Bowen Leary. He was a transport driver for Jernigan Oil Company and member of Early’s Baptist Church. He loved bird feeders and watching the birds, cooking, taking pies and deserts to others and keeping up with the news and making others laugh.

Survivors include wife, Laurie Anne Young Leary of Tarboro, whom he married on December 27, 1987; daughters, Lauralee Margaret Leary of Greenville and Jilianne Grace Leary of Raleigh; and sisters, Patsy Perry (Mike) of Colerain and Kay Roberson (Joe) of Windsor.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Windsor, with Rev. J.N. Baggett officiating and Buck Leary assisting. Music will be provided by Nancy Joyner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
