ROXOBEL, NC – Daisy Louise Davenport Warren, age 87, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Warren was born on November 11, 1930 to Leroy and Maggie Keel Davenport in Edgecombe County, NC. Daisy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker most of her life, spending time at home taking care of her family. Daisy had a great love of teaching ceramics and working in her flowers. Her love of flowers led her to working in the garden center at Ace Hardware in which she thoroughly loved. Daisy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lee Warren, Sr., and a daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Warren.

Left to cherish Daisy’s memory are two daughters, Danielle Baker and Tiffany Tenhet, both of Roxobel; two sons, Daniel Lee Warren Jr. and wife Linda of New Castle, VA, and Robert Warren of Murfreesboro; six grandsons, David Baker and wife Tonya of Roxobel, Jay Baker and wife Brittany of Roxobel, Jimmy Baker and wife Sethy of Cary, Matthew Tenhet of Roxobel, Steven Greenway and wife Megan of Roanoke, VA, and Justin Warren of Murfreesboro; six granddaughters, Brianna Tenhet of Wilson, Heather Mitchell and husband Brian of Harrellsville, Charity East and husband Nate of Ashburn, VA, and Daisy Smith of Spokane Valley, WA, Jamie Paterson and husband Tim of New Castle, VA, and Ava Greenway of New Castle, VA; 20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild, and a very special honorary daughter Yvette Williams.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Wallace Phillips, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.
