WINDSOR, NC – James Luther Mizelle, 86, of 136 R C Road, Windsor, died Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Vidant Bertie Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Bertie County on June 2, 1931 to the late Tommie Luther and Annie Alice White Mizelle and was predeceased by three brothers, Elwood, Charles and T. J. Mizelle; and sisters, Mary Deans Castellow and Alice Harrison.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April, 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. J. N Baggett.  A private burial will follow.

Survivors include his wife, Nolecka Morris Mizelle of the home; sisters, Annie Sue Dunlow and Lois Pierce of Windsor, and Carol Jean Pierce of Colerain; special family member, Jimmy Cooke of Windsor; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 10 from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
