BOWIE, MD – Hewitt Travis, 87, a graduate of Ahoskie High School, passed peacefully away in his sleep on Saturday, March 24, 2018.
He married his high school sweetheart, Earline Morris, and they remained together until her death in 2003.

Hewitt worked his entire career for General Motors before retiring in Bowie, Maryland.
He is survived by his son Lee (and his wife Gina); and two grandchildren, Michael (and his wife Kristine) and Jessica. He was blessed to get to know his three great grandchildren, Amie, Heidi and Toby.
He was our anchor and will be missed.
