GREENVILLE, NC – Shirley Anne Mizelle Belangia, 64, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2018.

The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 24, at 11 am at First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Greenville with a graveside service at 2 pm at Ahoskie Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, from 6 to 8 pm at Smith Funeral Service, 605 Country Club Drive, Greenville.

Shirley grew up between Hertford and Northampton counties. She received her accounting degree and was employed with several businesses until she became disabled.  She loved the Lord and was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A beloved mother, nana, daughter, sister and friend, Shirley will be deeply missed as she was a joy to be around with her sweet and happy spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Julia Mizelle; and younger sister, Kathy Overton.

Shirley is survived by her children, Larry Belangia and wife, Blossom, of Ahoskie, and Samantha Casper and husband, Michael, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Makayla and Scylar Casper; sister, Denise Al Shammari and husband, Khalid, of Kuwait; and several nieces.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
