AHOSKIE – Hertford County Habitat for Humanity, in conjunction with the State Employees Credit Union, announces the dedication of a new home in Ahoskie at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 18.
The home is located at 103 Deer Circle Road, which is off Hunter Lane.
Friends, volunteers contributors and the public are invited to see what your contributions have accomplished.
This is a totally new home and everyone is invited to come and see what Habitat has been able to accomplish with the help of volunteer labor, sweat equity of the purchasers, generous business contributions and contributions to Hertford County Habitat’s ReStore.
If you are interested in applying for a Habitat house, this is a good opportunity to see what a completed residence looks like. Habitat sells these houses to qualified applicants with no down payment, and with a interest-free loan.
The average monthly house payment is approximately $300 to $400 with tax and insurance included. All applicants must have an income and demonstrate ability to afford the monthly mortgage payments.
Applicants with children are given preference.
Habitat can be reached by writing Hertford County Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 695, Murfreesboro, NC 27855 or calling the ReStore at 252-396-0696.
“Remember that without your donations we could not continue to build houses for the needy,” stated Robert W. Ruckle, Director of Hertford County Habitat for Humanity.
Donations are normally tax deductible and receipts will be provided. Donations of land, building supplies and all items except clothing, televisions, printers and computers are accepted at the Habitat ReStore in Murfreesboro, which is pen Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
