Thomas accepted into National Quilt Competition

NEW HOPE, PA – Quilt Artist Jan Thomas of Murfreesboro has been accepted as a finalist in the 2018 Imagine Quilt Competition at the 29th annual Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. Produced by Mancuso Show Management, the Festival will take place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA from Feb. 22-25.

These two quilts crafted by Jan Thomas of Murfreesboro are among the finalists at the annual Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, slated for Feb. 22-25 in Hampton, VA.

Thomas’s two quilts, Celtic Blue and Four Seasons, will be on display at the show along with many other quilts, all competing for prizes.

She is a member of a quilting group that meets each Friday at the Hertford County Senior Center in Winton.

Winners will be selected at the show in Hampton and announced on the M-AQF website, www.quiltfest.com, on Thursday, Feb. 22. Quilt and textile art enthusiasts will have an opportunity to view Thomas’s quilts among all the other magnificent displays of quilts and textile art at the event.

Besides the competition quilts on display, the Quilt Festival will feature workshops and lectures taught by a renowned faculty, a wearable art competition, a fashion show, Game Zone, a Merchant’s Mall and a beautiful collection of special exhibits including many presented by local quilt guilds.
