CHESAPEAKE, VA – Christine Renee Vinson Garner, 55, of Chesapeake, Virginia passed away Friday, January 26, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norfolk on June 11, 1962 to Melvin and Carol Vinson, Renee graduated from Great Bridge High School and attended Old Dominion University. Renee was a devoted member of the Catholic Church of St. Stephen Martyr.

Renee was predeceased by her grandparents, Melvin and Edith Vinson and Sam and Odell Edwards, of Murfreesboro and Como respectively.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Doug Garner, and her three sons, Joshua High, Broc Garner and his wife Devanne, and Bryce Garner; her parents, Melvin and Carol Vinson; her brother, Brent Vinson and his wife Stacey; her uncle and aunt Fred and Faye Flora; her uncle, William Edwards; her uncle and aunt, Gene and Henrietta Vinson; her nephews and niece, Blake, Sydney, and Brady, and additional extended family. Also left behind to cherish her memory are the countless lives she has touched through her education, employment, community service and friendships.

The family will receive friends at the Catholic Church of St. Stephen Martyr in Chesapeake, VA on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6 – 7 pm to be followed by a prayer service.
