SUFFOLK, VA – Curtis Elwood Nichols, 85, passed away January 3, 2018. He was born in Edgecombe County, NC and was raised in Ahoskie.

Curtis was the son of the late Ross Joseph Nichols and Velner Cooke Nichols and a United States Army veteran. He retired from Lipton Tea Company and was a member of Earlys Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Rose G. Nichols; daughters, Teresa A. Moloian, and Patricia N. Phelps; sisters, Frances Futrell, Barbara Mulder, and Delores Earley; brothers, Joseph and Jesse Nichols; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on January 8, 2018 at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie.
