AHOSKIE – Thelis Richardson Gordon Jones, 78, of 106 Clarendon Road, Ahoskie, NC, died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Ahoskie House.

Born in Elizabeth City, NC on May 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Louis Gordon and Dorothy Mae Richardson Gordon Aydlett and the widow of Malichi Crowder Jones, III. She was a member of Ahoskie United Methodist Church and the Ahoskie Lion’s Club

She is survived by two sons, William Franklin Jones and wife Michelle of Ahoskie, NC, and James Markham Jones and wife Darleen of Woodland, NC; and three grandsons, Will Jones and wife Samantha, Matthew Jones, and Jack Jones.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Old Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City with the Rev. Bill Haddock officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Ahoskie United Methodist Church.
