AHOSKIE, NC – Linda Gayle White Moore, age 66, passed away on October 21, 2017 at the Accordius Health at Creekside Care of Ahoskie, NC.

Mrs. Moore was born in Hertford County, NC on April 4, 1951, a daughter of the late Ernest and Elsie Peele White.   Linda worked as a Secretary for the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald and the Commonwealth Progress. She was a member of Praise and Worship Church of Scotland Neck, NC.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Skylar Butler; a sister, Ada Fornes; a brother, Lawrence White; and two husbands, Vernon Denton, Jr. and Dan Byrum.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Tommy Moore; her two daughters, Vicki Broglin and husband, James, and Janice Gayle Askew and husband, Doug, both of Ahoskie, NC; three granddaughters, Kristen Broglin and Alyssa Askew, both of Ahoskie, NC, and Kaitlyn Butler of Elizabeth City, NC; and three great granddaughters, Aubree Farmer, Madison Whatley, and Maranda Diego.

A graveside celebration of life service was held on Monday, October 23 at the Stoney Creek Cemetery, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Raleigh Johnson, officiating.
