MURFREESBORO – Mr. Robert Earl Joyner of Murfreesboro, NC departed this life October 1, 2017 in Hampton, VA.

A native of Northampton County, he was born on May 11, 1949 to the late George Robert and Emma Lee Joyner. He served in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Michele Staton (Antron) of Norfolk, VA, Crystal of Norfolk, VA, Tamika Hopkins of Portsmouth, VA and Ninotchka Mickens of Columbia, SC; one brother, George Joyner (Shirley) of Richmond, VA; four sisters, Emma Rice of Murfreesboro, NC, Florine Jordan (Melvin) of Chester, VA, and Angela Gatling and Cynthia Gatling, both of Murfreesboro, NC; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church Murfreesboro.
