ROXOBEL – The Roxobel Revitalization Committee (RRC) has staged another successful event.

This past Saturday (Sept. 23), the RRC hosted a dance to raise money for the construction of their new playground in town. Members of the community and surrounding areas donated money and items to be raffled, sold or auctioned.

The RRC is currently applying for grants for the playground and in doing so learned this can sometimes be a long process. In the meantime they are planning events such as the dance to raise money to get the project started.

They are also accepting donations to the cause. If you feel this is something you would like to help with you may send donations to the Town Hall of Roxobel or contact Danielle Baker at dbaker@bakerspeanuts.com

The RRC feels this playground is important to the well being of the children of their community as it provides a safe place to play as well as a place to make life long memories while promoting a healthier lifestyle.

The next event on the RRC calendar will be their Christmas Tree lighting on Dec. 2. Additionally, the group in the planning stages for the second annual Roxobel Ag Fest on April 7, 2018.

The RRC would like to thank all that contributed as well as the participants of the ‘Dancing for Donations’ event.
