CONWAY, NC – Phyllis Futrell Blowe, age 74, passed away on September 15, 2017 at Rex Hospital of Raleigh, NC with her family by her side.

Mrs. Blowe was born on March 18, 1943 to the late C.W. and Rennie Jernigan Futrell in Lewiston, NC. Phyllis was a registered nurse that dedicated her life to taking care of others. She enjoyed time spent with family, camping with her cousin Rose Hoggard, and her faithful dog, Pepe. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, Dwight; her daughter, Stephanie B. Harris; her sister, Libby Joyner; and her brother, Winston Futrell and wife, Darlene, all of Conway. Also surviving is her dearest companion, Pepe, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service-Rich Square, and other times at the home.

A celebration of life funeral service was held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church, Conway, NC, with Rev. David Ross, officiating. The burial followed at the church cemetery.
