She is the daughter of Sidney and Betsy Moore.

Brodie Harrell was recognized by his superiors in Raleigh, his co-workers across the state and the people of Northampton County as one of the top Extension Agents in North Carolina.

The scholarship is the result of family friends and acquaintances making contributions in his name to an endowment account in the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service Foundation within the N.C. Agricultural Foundation.

The B. H. “Brodie” Harrell Scholarship will be awarded annually to a resident of Northampton County who wishes to pursue a college degree in an agricultural related field. Applications are accepted each spring.
