WAITEVILLE, WV – Myrtle Ruth Willard, a native of Greenville, NC, died quietly at the home of her son and daughter in law in Waiteville, WV on May 22. She was 95 years of age.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Joe E. Willard, of Washington, NC; a son, Joe E. Willard Jr.; and her sister Blanche Jones of Greenville, NC. She is survived by her sister, Faye Smith, and son, James Willard.

Until 2012 she had resided in Gates County, NC. A brief memorial service will be held at Zion Methodist Church, Hobbsville, NC on July 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. Groves Funeral Home in Union, West VA is in charge of arrangements.
