Northampton County Sheriff’s arrest report

JACKSON – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office has made the following arrests in May and early June:

On 5/12/2017 at approximately 4:30 pm, Deputy C. Bowser located Jilmita Brown at a residence in Garysburg and served an outstanding warrant for second degree trespass. Brown received a $300 secured bond.

On 5/12/2017 at approximately 5:02 am, Sgt. J. Barnes served an outstanding warrant on Anthony Ward for simple assault. He received a $500 secured bond.

On 5/13/2017 at approximately 12:57 pm, Deputy M. Walton located a Jafari Blythe at his residence in Conway and served outstanding warrants for assault by pointing a gun, assault on a female, and communicating threats. Blythe received a 48 hour domestic hold and next court date set in Hertford County.

On 5/13/2017 at approximately 5:47 pm, Sgt. W. James served an outstanding order for arrest on Walter Bullock for non-support. Bullock received a $5,000 cash bond.

On 5/14/2017 at approximately 12:30 pm, Deputy C. Bowser located Kenneth Belfield at a residence in Gaston and served outstanding warrants for assault by pointing a gun, going armed to the terror of the public, and assault by pointing a gun. Belfield received a $2,000 secured bond and next court date set for 6/20/2017.

On 5/16/2017 at approximately 11:29 am, Deputy T. Antunez located Curtis Ramsey in the parking lot of Super 8 motel in Garysburg and arrested him for outstanding warrants for assault on a female. In addition, Ramsey was also charged with driving while license revoked, and fictitious registration plate on vehicle. Ramsey received a 48 hour domestic hold.

On 5/17/2017 at approximately 6:45 pm, Sgt. D. Shephard and Capt. P. Jacobs arrested Kevin Elrod and obtained warrants for possession of firearm by felon. He was served outstanding warrants for larceny and possession of stolen goods out of Halifax County. Officers came into contact with Elrod after a brief standoff in a wooded area off of Vincent Loop Rd. where the subject barricaded himself in the woods. Later the subject was talked out of woods and he surrendered. Northampton Co. Sheriff Jack Smith stated that he would like to thank the Northampton Co. Sheriff’s Office personnel, Roanoke Rapids Police Dept., Halifax Co. Sheriff’s Office, Gaston Police Dept., and NC Highway Patrol for their assistance in this incident.

“Our agency takes cases of this magnitude very serious and I’m thankful that no one was hurt,” Smith stated.

Elrod received a $10,000 secured bond.

On 5/19/2017 at approximately 3:22 pm, Sgt. C. Collier served outstanding order for arrest on Rakell Garner. Garner received a $1,500 secured bond.

On 5/24/2017 at approximately 7:45 pm, Deputy A. Leitner, Deputy T. Antunuez, and Deputy P. King located Raheem Spivey at his residence outside of Conway and served warrants for assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats, and simple assault. He received a $2,500 secured bond and next court date set for 7/18/2017.

On 5/25/2017 at approximately 12:48 pm, Deputy K. Henderson served an outstanding order for arrest on Wayne Day. He received a $1,000 secured bond and next court date set for 7/18/2017.

On 5/26/2017 at approximately 1:18 am, Deputy T. Antunez arrested Antonio Robinson pursuant to a vehicle stop on Jackson Bypass Rd. Outstanding warrants for larceny of a motor vehicle, assault on a female, and communicating threats were served on Robinson, where he received a 48 hour domestic hold and next court date set for 7/18/2017 in Hertford County.

On 5/28/2017 at approximately 3:09 am, Deputy M. Walton, Deputy R. Horton, and Capt. P. Jacobs arrested Casmira Perez at her residence outside of Garysburg for domestic violence simple assault and injury to personal property. Perez received a 48 hour hold and next court date set for 7/18/2017.

On 5/28/2017 at approximately 11:36 pm, Sgt. W. James served outstanding warrants on Damion Gaye for second degree kidnapping, assault on a female, and communicating threats. Gaye received a 48 hour domestic hold. Sheriff Jack Smith with the Northampton Co. Sheriff’s Office stated, “I encourage all of our citizens to call 911 when their lives, or their children, or anyone else life is threatened by others. We at the Northampton Co. Sheriff’s Office take domestic violence very serious and we are committed to doing all that we can legally do to protect others.”

On 6/1/2017 at approximately 10:40 am, Deputy K. Henderson served an outstanding order for arrest on Wakita Mizzell out of Wake County. She received a $1,000 secured bond and next court date set for 7/17/2017 in Wake County.

On 6/2/2017 at approximately 11:30 am, Deputy A. Young located Tom Price at a location outside of Garysburg and arrested him for an outstanding order for arrest. Price received a $1,000 secured bond and next court date set for 7/11/2017 in Halifax Co.

On 6/2/2017 at approximately 10:00 pm, Deputy T. Antunez conducted a vehicle stop on James Jones Rd. in Pleasant Hill. After investigation, Dep. Antunez arrested Nathan Smith for possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, left and center, and driving while impaired.

On 6/3/2017 at approximately 11:24 pm, Deputy T. Antunez located Shenita Scott in Garysburg and served outstanding warrants for cyber-stalking, second degree trespass, and communicating threats. She received a $1,000 secured bond and next court date set for 7/18/2017.

On 6/7/2017 at approximately 8:50 am, Sgt. A. Roye served an outstanding order for arrest on Sidney Jennings Jr. He received a $2,600 secured bond.
