Ahoskie Women’s Club honors ten members for longevity

AHOSKIE – The Ahoskie Women’s Club recently recognized the following individuals for 25 and 50 years of service to the club and the community:
25-year membership awards were presented to Carolyn Brinkley, Dotty Early, Susan Joyner, Margie Minton, Elaine Myers, Rita Myers, and Jean Parker.
Those honored with 50-year membership awards were Gertrude Myers, Becky Carter, and Dot Newsome.
The Club also received the following awards:
Honors Club Award
Appreciation Award from the Boys and Girls Home
GFWC Recruitment Campaign Award
NC State Runner up – Signature Project Award for Domestic Violence Project
The club supports local organizations and charities, as well as provides scholarships, and the local Art Project and awards for school aged students and local club women. The club remains focused on community service, giving, and education.
