AULANDER, NC – LuAnn Perry Ambrose, age 60, and Kenneth Ray Ambrose, age 58, both died tragically on March 28, 2017.

LuAnn was born in Hertford County on August 25, 1956 to the late Aubrey Perry and Dorothy Bradley Perry Rawls. She worked as a pharmacy tech for local pharmacies and enjoyed reading and collecting Gone with the Wind memorabilia. She devoted her life to “Kenny Ray”.

Kenny Ray was born in Bertie County on November 24, 1958 to the late Carl Ambrose and Sybil Conner Ambrose. He spent most of his life farming. Kenny Ray was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt and fish. He loved getting together with his family.

Besides their parents, Kenny Ray was preceded in death by his brothers, Trent and Billy Ambrose.

Left to cherish their memory is LuAnn’s, aunt, “Pete” Hall of Aulander, NC; and two cousins, Joy Winslow and Julie Johnson; Kenny Ray’s brothers, Carlton “Zip” Ambrose, his wife Theresa, and Brad Ambrose, his wife Carla, both of Ahoskie, NC; his sister, Gail Ambrose of Greenville, NC; special friend, Scott Shawn of Gates, NC; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Connaritsa Baptist Church, with the Rev Jimmy Smith, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
