GREENVILLE – Lena Faye Piland, 54, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 25 at 3 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church. The family will receive guests following the service in the fellowship hall.

Faye grew up in Hertford County and lived in Greenville for the past thirty years. She was a skilled trim carpenter and painter. She will be remembered for her big heart, as she served as caregiver for her mother the last eight years. She loved the outdoors and spending time with children.

She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen “S” Piland.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Piland of the home; two brothers, Bill Piland and wife Cathy of Ahoskie and Ronnie Piland of Greenville; five nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Jeremy, Nicholas, Jaynie, and Stephen Piland and wife Katy; great niece and nephew, Christina and Jackson; and many other friends and family.
