AULANDER, NC – Deanna Gwen Hurdle Terry, age 54, passed away on February 21, 2017 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Deanna was born on July 3, 1962 to Alfred and Elizabeth Warrick Hurdle in Ahoskie, NC. She was a graduate of Ahoskie High School. Deanna enjoyed cooking in her earlier years. She loved her dog Dixie very much. Deanna was gentle person and a loving daughter, wife, sister, and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Deanna was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth June Warrick.

Deanna is survived by her husband, Jeff; father, Alfred Earl Hurdle; three sisters, Sonya Leake and husband Jim of Winterville, NC, Judy Farmer and husband Danny, and Paula Hurdle; brother, Earl Hurdle and wife Sherry; father-in-law, Robert Terry; mother-in-law, Lavern Terry; brother-in-law, Jack Terry and wife Denise; sister-in-law, Tina Harrell and husband Linwood, all of Aulander, NC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Aulander Cemetery, Aulander, NC, with the Rev. Greg Hurdle, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
