HARRELLSVILLE, NC – Florence Williams Fairless Pearce, age 86, died on February 4, 2017 at Creekside Health & Rehabilitation of Ahoskie, NC.

Ms. Pearce was born in Hertford County, NC on October 16, 1930 a daughter of the late Joseph Graham and Mary Ellie Fairless. Florence was a longtime member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and working puzzle books. She was a woman that loved all her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Florence was the last surviving sibling of her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret F. White, Mary Elizabeth Williams, and Josephine Fairless; her brothers, Joseph Graham Fairless, Jr., and Shirley W. Fairless; and a granddaughter, Regina Lewis.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sharon P. Lewis and husband, Tommy of Harrellsville, NC; and three sons, Graham Pearce and wife, Clara of Harrellsville, NC, Benny Pearce of Aulander, NC, and Richard C. Pearce of Ahoskie, NC. Also surviving are three grandsons, Graham Pearce Jr. and wife, Valerie of Conway, NC, Bryan Pearce and wife, Kasey of Harrellsville, NC, and Matthew Lewis and wife, Kim of Cofield, NC; and a granddaughter, April P. Byrum and husband, John of Aulander, NC; five great grandsons, Hunter Pearce, Brenden Pearce, Reese Pearce, Presley Pearce, and Ethan Byrum; and a great granddaughter, Isabella Byrum.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, and other times at the home of her daughter, Sharon Lewis.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 2:00 pm at the Christian Harbor Baptist Church, Harrellsville, NC, with Rev. Joe Futrell officiating. Burial will follow in Harrellsville Cemetery.
