COA announces 2016 President’s List, Dean’s List student recipients

ELIZABETH CITY – One hundred twenty College of The Albemarle (COA) students earned scholastic averages high enough to be included on the President’s List for the fall 2016 semester.

To qualify for the President’s List, a student must complete 12 curriculum semester hours or more in a semester, in courses numbered at or above the 100 level with no grade below an “A” and no incompletes (I) for that term.

Students from the Roanoke-Chowan area deserving of such recognition included Daniel Steven Bright, Nicholas Bryan Jones, Haley Morganne Rawles, and Michelle Denise Snelgrove, all of Gates County.

Also for the Fall of 2016, one hundred fifty-seven COA students achieved scholastic averages high enough to be included on the college’s fall 2016 Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must complete 12 curriculum semester hours in a semester, in courses numbered at or above 100 and attain at least a 3.50 grade point average, with no grade being below a “C” and no incompletes (I) for that term.

Seven of those honorees were from Gates County: Sofia Campos, Christine Jones Freeman, Nathan Jernigan, Jennifer Marie Merrick, Stephany Melissa Reyes Mendoza, Elissa Marie Vannoy, and Jasmine Ward.
